Mars Trailer Introduces New Six Part Story to Explore Colonizing Mars
What would it be like to make Mars your home?
Not just to go and explore, but to stay and live.
National Geographic wants to show you what it might just be like.
MARS is a six-part hybrid story/documentary -- produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment and RadicalMedia -- to be released in November that will combine documentary sequences along with real-life efforts on what it would be like to travel and settle on Mars.
And to whet your appetite, NatGeo just released their first Mars trailer.
It’s 2033, and the first human mission to Mars is on its way. In the video, as the camera pulls back, you are introduced to the Daedalus, a spaceship just entering Martian orbit, and the mission: to make a home on Mars.
The clip is a only a short 30 seconds, but if you're excited about possibly traveling to -- and living on -- Mars, you will want to see this!
National Geographic is also planning a digital-only prequel series, Before Mars, which will focus on the two astronauts before they leave earth, but no release date has yet been announced.
