This Mars Exploration Video Inspires - and Deflates at the Same Time
JPL (Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in Pasadena, California) just released this video celebrating 50 years of Mars exploration. Since 1965, when Mariner 4 was the first probe to reach Mars, 15 different Nasa-led missions have gone. This video celebrates those missions, highlighting great moments in their history.
The shot at 3:30 of the Curiosity Rover and the Earth rising in the sky was especially thrilling.
But you can't help but think,
Why aren't humans there already?
Take a look at this video and share your thoughts. Are you inspired? Wistful?
Or both?
